MAGISTRATE’S COURT
SATURDAY (Before Messrs J. L. Ives and J. T. B .smart, Justices of the Peace) FINED £5 James Smith, aged 28, was fined £5 on a charge of using obscene language. He pleaded guilty. Sergeant V. F. Townshend said the offence was committed when a taxi-driver asked the police to remove Smith from his vehicle in High street on Friday night REMANDED John Ferguson, aged 29. was remanded in custody to August 23 on a charge of burglary. Harry McDonald, aged 19. and Raymond Joseph Renton, aged 20. were remanded until today on charges of failing to report while on probation.
