TOWN COLTS WIN COMFORTABLY
Town scored a comfortable win against Country, 25-9 in a colts’ match which preceded the Auckland-Canterbury game at Lancaster Park on Saturday. There were some lively movements but much of the play was scrappy. Tries for Town w-ere scored by A. G. Steel (3), K. Gimblett. B. Longley and M. O'Malley. J. Keeghan kicked a penalty goal and a conversion. For Country. M. Alexander kicked two penalty goals and R. McKay scored a try The referee was Mr D. Last.
