Egyptian Sculpture
Three Egyptian pieces fashioned about 2000 B.C nave been acquired by he Dominion Museum from the Metropolitan Museum f Art. New York. All three pieces are of limestone. There is a cloaked statue 14 inches high, an inscr bed slab from the tomb of King Mentuhotop and a fragment of . n engraving showing a standing figure and columns of hieroglyphs These acquisitions take the museum’s Egyptian collection back to the socalled ’’middle kingdom," according to the director.
