Steady Prices For Lamb (N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON, Aug. 16. The market information service of the New Zealand Meat Producers' Board reports that prices for the main grades of New Zealand lamb remained steady at Smithfield market. London, this week, but the heavier grades were not so strong. There was a good inquiry for most commodities, but there was a considerably increased supply of Homekilled lamb. There were light supplies of New Zealand mutton. Wethers fetched lljd to Is 5d per lb and ewes lOd to 1» 2|d per lb. New Zealand beef was not quoted. Quotations for lamb:— Price Var’n.
