Canadians Win Foursomes (N Z Press Assn.—Copyright) SYDNEY. August 16 The Canadian golfers. Miss G Hitchens and Mrs G Cole, today won the Australian women’s foursomes championship when the British pair. Miss R Porter and Miss S M Vaughan three-putted the 36th green ar Roval Sydney The title went to the Canadians o n a count back Both pairs finished with a 36-hole aggregate of IS7 but the Canadian? second round 76 to the British pair’s 79 gave them victory. Of the New Zealand contingent, Miss A. Laing fared best She teamed with Miss J A Greenhalgh (Britain) for a 36-hole total of 164 Other New Zealand scores were: Miss V Land and Miss S. Grigg 176; Mrs J Mangan and Miss U Wickham 177: Miss N W’hite and Miss P Harrison. 177.
