£294.000 Raised This Year The C.0.R.5.0. Freedom from Hunger annual appeal has so far raised £294.000 in New Zealand. In Christchurch £24,651 has been raised, £7274 in Marlborough and the West Coast, and £lO.llB in North and Mid-Canterbury. Money raised from this appeal is distributed by the Food and Agriculture Organisation of the United Nations but C.0.R.5.0. can choose the projects it wishes to support Projects which are under consideration are to send New Zealand sheep to India for breeding purposes; agricultural and irrigation projects in India, Greece. Brazil, and Tanganyika; milk factories in Tanganyika and milk tankers in India: agricultural education projects in the Philippines and India; and scholarships for agricultural education in the South Pacific. A good deal of the money raised by the apoeal will be spent in New Zealand and the goods sent overseas.
