No Overdrafts For Tax
(N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON, Aug. 16. “With the approach of the due date for payment of the first instalment of provisional tax on September 7, it is as well to reiterate that the trading banks cannot make new or increased overdraft limits available to cover taxation commitments, except in the most extraordinary circumstances,” said the chairman of the Bankers’ Association (Mr C. H. Rennie) today.
