With a heavy ground in prospect, the odds might slightly favour Brunner (West Coast) in the South Island final of the Rothrians £lOOO Rugby League club tournament at the Show Grounds today The Christchurch champion. Linwood, has impressed more this- season on hard dry grounds than it has on those affected by rain
Linwood had an easy victory over the Dunedin side. Athletic, support from a pack which this season in local club matches. The Kiwi representative, J H Fisher, has been in 'rood form in recent weeks and he should receive adequate support from a pack, which although lacking in brilliance works well as a unit.
