Opawa beat University by 6 matches to 0 in the sixth round at Wilding Park yesterday to retain the lead in the Canterbury Lawn Tennis Association's winter inter-club competition. All contests resulted according to form and all were won comfortably except that between Beckenham and Avonside 11, which Beckenham won by 4 matches to 2. In the others. Avonside I beat South Christchurch by 6 matches to 0.
