OLD BOOKS SOUGHT

Display For Children

They include such books as "Australian Adventures” by W. H. C. Kingston, and "Little Lizzie” by Mary Gillies, both of which were given as birthday presents in 1874.

These books and such others as “Tile Quiver.” a 764-page “illustrated Maga zine for Sunday amd general reading” of 1886, will provide an interesting contrast to the full display of modern children’s books arranged for the exhibition. Other old children’s books are still sought for the exhibition. and may be sent to Miss E. Willetts, of the Country Library Service. In conjunction with the display, to be held in the Dominion Motors showroom, story-hours for children will be arranged in the children’s section of the Canterbury Public Library.
