Three Players Injured

(N.Z. Press Association) AUCKLAND. August 4.

R. H. Graham and M. J. Dick, who has been chosen for the North Island team, are the latest withdrawals from the Auckland team which will play Wairarapa in the first of the season's Ranfurly Shield challenges on Tuesday. Also, B. T. Thomas, chosen for the North Island as a prop, is not available because of injury.

Graham injured Ills left hamstring muscle in a club match on Saturday, Dick sprained a right thigh muscle at training today, and Thomas is still suffering from a knee injury It is not yet known whether these injuries will keep Thomas and Dick out of the North Island team for next Saturday. or whether Graham will be fit enough to play in all three matches of the Auckland team's South Island tour w’hich

will start at Invercargill next Saturday..

In the Shield game. A. N. Dick will replace Graham, D. G Harker will take Thomas’s place and D. W. McKay may play in Dick’s place. W. J. Whineray will captain Auckland in Graham’s absence.
