Girl Will Tell All

While Stephen Ward drifted near death last night, Julie Gulliver, the girl who has stood by him, said: “If he dies I'll make sure it is not in vain.” the "Daily Express” reported. Miss Gulliver, a 22-year-old. red-haired singer, described by the "Dally Express” as Ward's last girl friend, said: "He is not going to die to let a whole lot of people get off scot free.” The "Daily Express” quoted Miss Gulliver as saying: 'There’s a whole crowd of them right now praying for Stephen to die so their names won't be mentioned. If he dies I'a going to make sure their names are mentioned.
"Stephen used to call them his friends. But in this crisis he has found out who his friends really are." The newspaper said that on Tuesday night Ward drove Miss Gulliver to her home tn Bayswater from the Chelsea flat where he stayed during the trial.
On the way he said he had left her £l5O "to see her through.” It was, he said, "all I have.”
Robbed In Store <N Z. Press Assn —Copyright) LONDON, August 2. Princess Djordjadze, who aS the London actress Sylvia Hawkes was once an international legend, was robbed of a handbag containing jewellery worth £4500 yesterday. The robbery took place in a London department store in Oxford street. The princess. 59-year-old daughter of a Paddington stablehand was married formerly to Douglas Fairbanks, sen., Clark Gable, Lord Askley and Lord Stanley, of Alderley.
