The principal responsibilities Involved will be to act as secretary of the Society’s Board of Research and Publications and its Public Accountants’ Committee and Taxation Committee, and to edit and prepare for publication the results of these committees’ work. Considerable expansion is planned in these fields within the next few years, providing ample opportunity for increasing responsibilities, stature within the profession, and remuneration. Practical experience in some fields of accounting is required, but specialist knowledge of all or any of his fields of work is not necessary: the main qualities sought are initiative, a flair for organisation, and interest in the progress of the accountancy profession Commencing salary will be negotiated with the applicant, but will be in the vicinity of £l5OO per annum, with the right to join the society's subsidised superannuation scheme In view of the importance of this position.
