Chemistry Address.—Professor S. M. J. Ellis on Tuesday evening addressed the Canterbury branch of the New Zealand Institute of Chemistry. Professor Ellis, who is a graduate in chemistry of Auckland University, holds the second chair of chemical engineering at the University of Birmingham. He discussed such processes as electro-dialysis and gaseous and thermal diffusion.
