Trotting Trials At Rangiora The Canterbury Trotting Owners' and Breeders’ Association has been granted permission to hold a matinee meeting at Rangiora on Thursday, August 8. The meeting was originally to have been held at Addington. but the course was not available for that date.
Tribute To Mr H. H. Wauchop Tributes to the services given by Mr H. H. Wauchop during the last 21 years were paid by the president <Mr L. S. Smart) at the annual meeting of the Canterbury Park Trotting Club yesterday. Mr Wauchop did not seek re-election to the committee. Mr Wauchop had been a member of the committee since 1942 and was one of the original directors of Addington Trotting Course. Ltd. He was also a past president and treasurer of the club, added Mr Smart. Officers elected were:— President, Mr Smart; vicepresident, Mr T. A., Leitch: honorary treasurer, Mr I. J. Wilson; committee, Messrs S. Andrews, H. F. Butland, S. C. Cordner, E. F. Mercer, C. S. Peate. F. E. Sutton; stewards. Messrs S. Andrews, F. R. Brebner, C. H. Crombie, W. G. P. Cuningham, B. G. Donovan, R. W. Jackman, F W. Jarman. Dr. M. L. Langley. Messrs A. A. C. McPherson, E. F. Mercer, G. L. NicolL C. G. M. Parfitt. W. Price, H. D. Robson, R G. Sutton.
