Limiting Fields
When night trotting was started at Addington, he thought fields should be limited to 1* starters, said the president (Mr L. S. Smart) at the annual meeting of the Canterbury Park Trotting Club yesterday. “This will make for safer racing and inspire the public with more confidence in the standard of the sport. I propose to place this matter before the committee early in the new season," he said.
