Battery Found On Course

(N.Z. Press Assn.—Copyright) SYDNEY. July 24. A racecourse employee found a battery on the course proper near the winning post at Canterbury today after the running of the seventh race. One of the stewards immediately took possession of the battery. The chief steward, Mr J. Bourke, said an inquiry would be held. The battery was made to fit into the palm of the hand. It had two contact points on the top.
