Manslaughter Verdict

(N.Z. Press Association) AUCKLAND, July 24. Toelein Maiava, aged 41. a lineman, was found guilty in the Supreme Court at Auckland today of unlawfully killing a young girl whom he and his wife cared for, thereby committing manslaughter. Mr Justice Woodhouse remanded him for sentence. Maiava had pleaded not guilty to a charge that on May 27 this year he unlawfully killed Ana Silao, aged 2. Ana died of brain injuries on May 28. the morning after her admission to hospital
