Good Response
About 90 per cent, of the money councils were asked to contribute to the Canterbury Progress League and Public Relations Office had been received, said the retiring president of the league (Mr B. J. Drake) at the annual meeting last evening. The response had been very enthusiastic. he said, and in one or two cases, the amounts asked for were exceeded.
