WILKINS AND DAVIES
Chch. Firm Taken Over The Christchurch electrical contracting firm of Easterbrook Electrical Company, Ltd., Blenheim road, has been purchased by Wilkins and Davies, Ltd. The total price has not been disclosed, but a New Zealand Press Association message from Wellington says that Wilkins and Davies have allotted 3100 ordinary £1 shases as part payment for all the shares in Easterbrook. The shares allotted will not participate in any dividend declared in respect of the year ended March 31, 1963. Wilkins and Davies ordinary shares were last traded at 245.
W. and D. Profit Held Steady
(N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON, July 19. Wilkins and Davies, Ltd., earned a net profit of £58.383 in the year to March 31, according to a preliminary announcement. The previous year’s profit was £53,830. Dividends are held at 71 per cent, preference and 8 per cent, ordinary.
K.P. Drug Final Div.
Directors of Kempthorne. Prosser. Ltd., are recommending a final dividend of 10 per cent., payable August 30. With the 4 per cent interim dividend this makes 14 per cent, for a period of 16 months, owing to a change of balance date.
This is equivalent to 104 per cent, for a year, compared with 10 per cent, in 1961-62.

Ampol Exploration, Ltd., will raise £500,000 by a one-tor-eight par issue to shareholders.
The money will be used to finance further exploration in West Australia and Queensland.
Ampol Petroleum, Ltd., will apply tor the share quota to which it is entitled.
