AUSTRALIAN BUYERS
32 To Be Shown N.Z. Garments (NZ. Press Association) ’ WELLINGTON. July 22 A selection of high-quality New Zealand fashion garments will go on display before a panel of Australian buyers in Wellington at the end of September. Tins pioneer venture in export development has been termed a “trade mission in reverse.” About 25 manufacturers, all members of the New Zealand Texitile and Garment Federation, will participate m the scheme.
They plan to bring a group of about 32 Australian buyers to Wellington tor a week of viewihg and purchasing from a comprehensive range of garments. The manufacturers include the top fashion houses in the country, and the garments to be displayed will include women's coats and suits, dresses, lingerie, men's and women’s knitwear. Mouses, skirts and shirts—all designed and made in New Zealand. Among the manufacturers expected to participate are 10 from Auckland, seven from Wellington, three from Christchurch, two from Levin, two from Dunedin, and one from Wanganui.
