CAR’S ROLL AT 50 M.P.H.
Passengers Not Injured A light rental car rolled over and landed on. its wheels again, facing the direction from which il came, when a tyre blew oul on the Main North road. None of the four persons in the car was injured. The accident happened on Sunday afternpon. The drivei was Miss Antoinette d’Apice aged 24, a school teacher, ol 6A Cumberland street, Christchurch. Two other young women and a young man were passengers in the car. The car was travelling about 50 miles an hour foui miles and a half north o 1 Waipara when the right real tyre blew out. The car swung to the left and hit a ridge of shingle at the edge of the bitumen road. It swung back towards the road, turned ovei on to its roof, skidded round and came to rest on its wheels. The car, extensively damaged, was towed back tc Christchurch by a breakdown truck.
