I hope that it is the ambition at every young New Zealander to earn enough to pay income tax and to go on earning more and more and paying more tax just as 11 u the ambition of this Government to leave more and more of the income of the people for their own spending “—The deputy Prime Minister. Earn more! and pay your Income Tax like Men Make it your high Resolve each March that ends. To be a better Taxpayer next Year. The State expects it of You, my young Friends, It has an Interest in YOUR Career. Earn All you can! Let no less pure Ambition Govern your Thoughts, or in the Spirit harass You, Concentrate on improving your Position We’ll see to it that Riches don't embarrass You! Up to the Top. the Lot of You!—Don't say There isn’t Room up there! Why, That’s too bad! We’li ALL be ruined if You claim such Pay. I said, earn More—l didn’t say go mad! The more (and more) You earn, the more (and more) You w in Tax ,he MORE (for all your Trouble) We 11 leave You for your Pocket-money—for Mortgage. Hire Purchase and the Week-end Double. Young Men. be wise in your own Generation. These economic Facts of Life to master. You are the future Taxpayers of the Nation. EARN AS YOU PAY—and if You can, earn faster!
