Four Injured In Collision

Four persons were taken to hospital after two cars and a utility vehicle had been involved in a collision at the corner of Latimer square west and Worcester Street, about 12.50 p,m. yesterday. Miss Gail O'Callaghan. aged 18, of 23 Garden road, was later admitted to the Princess Margaret Hospital with head injuries and shock. Her condition last evening was reported as fairly comfortable John O’Callaghan, of the same address, was treated at the Christchurch Hospital for leg injuries and discharged. Mr P. Rees Williams, of 59 Joy street, who suffered chest injuries, was treated at the Christchurch Hospital and discharged. Mr A. Rees Williams, of the same address, was treated for an arm injury and discharged. Two of the vehicles collided at the corner, and both vehicles then hit the third one. All were slightly damaged.
