Pedestrian Struck By Car

An elderly man, Robert Scott Grey, of 135 Clyde road, suffered a compound fracture of a leg when he was hit by a car while walking in Colombo street near the foot of Dyers Pass road at 4.15 p.m. yesterday. Mr Grey was taken to the Christchurch Hospital by ambulance. His condition last evening was reported as fairly satisfactory.

Motor-cyclist Hurt. — Mr D Clough, of 12 Auburn avenue, suffered leg injuries when bis motor-cycle and a car collided in Moorhouse avenue near the Transport Board bus depot at 6.45 p.m. yesterday. He was taken to the Christchurch Hospital and discharged after treatment.
