Early in the afternoon more than 60 members of the lodge formed in parade at the Orange Hall in Worcester street and marched in regalia by way of Manchester street and Oxford terrace to the Oxford terrace Baptist Church. Many lodge members were also waiting at the church. The parade was led by the City of Christchurch Highland Pipe Band. The parade moved into the church hall where the service was held.
