POSTAL CHARGES ON PARCELS

Rates To Three Countries Rise Increases' in postal charges for surface parcels to Britain. Northern Ireland, and Finland have been announced by the Post Office. The increases came into operation on July 1, and are a result of higher delivery and transit charges required by the British Post Office, Parcels not exceeding 31b now require 7s 3d in postage if sent to Britain and Northern Ireland, and 7s 9d if sent to Finland. Parcels not exceeding '7lb cost 10s 3d and Ils 9d respectively. Postage on parcels not exceeding 111 b is 14s to Britain and Northern Ireland and 16s 3d to Finland, and on those not exceeding 221 b it is 21s and 27s Bd.
