RICE-DAVIES BACK IN U.K.
Sudden Return From Majorca (N.Z.P.A.-Reuter— Copyright) LONDON, July 5. Pale-faced and wearing dark glasses, Marilyn RiceDavies returned to London by air today from her Majorca holiday. At London airport she said: “I’ve come back earlier than I expected. I have some business to deal with—some film business." Asked when she expected to see Lord Denning, who sent her a letter before she left London on Monday, inviting her help in his judicial inquiry into the security aspects of the Profumo affair, she replied: “I don't know when I shall see him. No date has been fixed. For the moment I am going to the country.” Lord Denning is seeing more witnesses today. An official said this morning that the inquiry was “going very well," but he could not say how much longer it would last Lord Denning had already seen between 30 and 40 witnesses, including Miss Christine Keeler, the former War Minister, Mr John Profumo, and Dr. Stephen Ward.
