Building With Maori Motif
(Parliamentary Reporter) WELLINGTON. July 2. The Minister of Maori Affairs (Mr Hanan) told Parliament tonight he would like to see a building with a Maori motif incorporated in the complex which might some day replace the existing Parliament Buildings. The replacement of Parliament Buildings is now under study by a two-party committee headed by the Prime Minister (Mr Holyoake). Mr Hanan said he would like to see the structure with the Maori motif replace either the existing wood building, housing the social hall, Bellamys, and some ministerial offices, or the General Assembly Library building.
