ELDERLY WOMEN ENTERTAINED
Fendalton Guild’s Party The Fendialtan Townswomen’s Guild held its annual birthday party recently, when the president (Mrs A. L. Buchanan), welcomed and presented -gifts to Mrs F. H. Pheloung, representing the Dominion federation, and Mrs A. Thomson, the area president. Specially invited guests included several residents from the Salvation Army’s “Sunshine Lodge” and other elderly women from the district. They were also presented with small gifts. A programme of entertainment was given by the guild’s singing and drama circles. Guild members provided twe birthday cakes. Proceeds from the sale of one will go to the Templeton Hospital and Training School’s chapel appeal fund.
