HURDLES AT OAMARU

Th* Press" Special Service DUNEDIN. June 13 Ravelston. ridden by hi* race rider, R O. Cairns, gave a clean fast display of jumping over two flights of hurdles at Wingatui this afternoon.
It was a first class final school for his attempt to make it two wins on end in the Hack Hurdles at Oomaru.
Tunku (S. J. Diack) and Captain Morgan (R. O. Cairns) were equally impressive over the same fences. Tunku lacks race experience as a jumper, but he should not take long to make the grade in his new role. Matlock (S Diack) and King’s Lace (R. O. Cairns) set out to jump six of the steeplechase fences. Matlock fell over a wing tn attempting to run off the second fence He was quickly remounted and the two horses gave a good display over four fences. Bydtrev (R O. Cairns’ gave a dashing display over two steeplechase fences. Bader (B. P. Kennedy) was most tmpressite in his schooling bout at hunting pace. He jumped the two hurdles down the back twice.
