Wildfowl Habitats
The Internal Affairs Department's wildlife branch will be asked by the Catchment Boards' Aaaodetion oonfecence to oonduct a regional study of existang wildfowl habitats with a view to determanmg future requirements for the preservation of wilcttowl. The conference in Gisborne adopted a remit put / forward by Otego. In their coneervatioo worik, which often concerned the drainage of swamps, carjctwnent boards could have regard to wildlife needs, they said.—(PA)
