REUNION OF SERVICEMEN

2000 Parade

(N.Z. Press Association) AUCKLAND, June 2

About 2000 former infantrymen. gunners and members of other corps which served with the New Zealand forces in World War LI paraded in memory of their dead in the windswept Auckland domain today. The parade was part of the reunion celebrations ot the 18th and 21st Battalions at the weekend

Other units on parade included the 24th and 29. h Battalions, Army Service Corps, ammunition and artillery detachments and several bands, including the Band of the Auckland Regiment, the Northern Military District Artillery Band and the Auckland Police Highland Pipe Band.

The salute was taken by the Mayor of Auckland (Mr D. M. Robinson).
