The General Rate thereon necessary to raise the required sum is l*/s pence in the pound in each Riding. NOTICE OF INTENTION TO MAKE AND LEVY RATES Further notice is given pursuant to the provision of "'The Counties Act, 1856.” "The Counties Amendment Act, 1961,” and amendments thereto that it is the intention of the Malvern Council at its next meeting to be held on Friday, June 21, 1963. to make and levy the following rates and water charges: 1. A General Rate of !■,« pence In the pound on the Capital Value of the whole of the rateable property in each of the Malvern and Selwyn Ridings. 2. A separate Rate of 23-64 pence in the pound on the Capital Value of all rateable property within the Hororata River District appearing on the valuation Rolls of the Selwyn Riding 3. Water Charges as defined by the respective water race by-laws of tach Riding. 4. All rates as are directed by special order of the North Canterbury Catchment Board. The above rates and water charges to be for the period commencing on the first day of April, 1963, ending on the 31st day of March 1964. and to become due and payable in one sum on the 30th day of August. 1963, at the County Office.
