TV FILM ON SCOTT
A 60-minute documentary film on Scott’s journey to the South Pole will be a feature of the television programme tomorrow evening. Many of the shots taken by the expedition’s photographer, Mr H Ponting, are included in this BB C production and the only living member of the expedition. Mr Frank Debenham, its geologist, is introduced Channel 3 has invited two Christchurch men who were members of the crew of the Terra Nova when the ship took Scott’s party to the Antarctic, to discuss the expedition after the film Both men are in their seventies.
A third member of the crew, a Lyttelton man, is at present at sea and will not be available. All three visited the Antarctic las* season as guests of the United States operations
The programme is scheduled for 7.17 p.m. On D Day. June 6, there will be an hour's programme to mark the nineteenth anniversary of the Allied landings tr France during World War II
