RIFLEMAN’S PROGRAMME
To Start In Minor Race
"The Press*- Special Service DUNEDIN May 30. Rifleman has been scratched from tha Birthday Handicap and will run in the St. Clair Intermediate Handicap at Wingatui on Saturday. G. W Wright will ride him. Rifleman was the only double acceptor on the first day of the Dunedin Jockey Club's winter meeting. With two wins in his last four starts he will be one of the favourites for the St. Clair Handicap. The Wingatui jockey, J. D Panktiurst. who sprained an ankle in a fall at Waimate. will be unable to ride on the opening day of the meeting. But he hopes to be able to ride on one of the later days.
