Death At 101

(N.Z. Press Association) AUCKLAND, May 28. Mrs Elizabeth Mcßride Dickinson died in Auckland on Monday aged 101. Mrs Dickinson was bom in Argyll, Scotland, and arrived with her family in the sailing ship, Canterbury, at Port Chalmers in 1881. They moved to Auckland and Mrs Dickinson became a teacher. Her husband, Mr J. C. Dickinson, was headmaster of Ponsonby School and an inspector of schools. Mrs Dickinson was a founder of the Auckland Women’s Club and was vicepresident of the club during the 1920'5. She was elected a life-member in 1960. For many years she was on the board of directors of the Y.W.C.A.
