Mr Randle will be responsible for the tactics of the team once selected.

"Because of this, we consider that Mr Randle should be entitled to express his views to you concerning selection, irrespective of the area in which he or the players are located.

"The advisory selectors have been appointed to assist you as sole selector ... tn order to keep matters tn proportion the advisory selectors were requested to keep essentially to their own area. . .

Mr Holland said that the position of Mr Randle should be the main one to be defined. He was an advisory selector covering his own area but. as coach, ne should be able to comment on players in other provinces.
