Missionary In Philippines (NZ. Press Assn.—Copyright/ LONDON. May 11. Two women missionaries—one from New Zealand—were killed in the Philippines when their utility vehicle ran off the road and overturned, the Associated Press reported from Manila. The New Zealander was identified as Marv Ethel Roy. aged 49, of Dunedin. The other missionary killed was Agnes Bell, aged 27. of Banbridge, Northern Ireland A third missionary. Mrs Ruth Fahrni. aged 26. of Switzerland, was slightly injured. The women members of the Overseas Missionary Fellowship were working among tribes of Northern Mindoro, an island about 10C miles south of Manila. The accident occurred on

Mindoro Island on Thursday, a spokesman from the fellowship said. The women were riding in a jeep in Mulawin village on the island's west coast at the time. The women were rushed to the provincial hospital at Mamnurao. but Miss Roy and Miss Bel] died from their injuries.
