Plans For 3¥D Programme (Fron) Our Own Reporter) WELLINGTON, May 12. Variety will be the key note of the programmes of 3YD Christchurch, according to official advice. Mainly musical, the fare will be drawn from a wide range of "ecordings tastefully introduced to the listener by what the Broadcasting Corporation calls “personality announcers.” There will be a restricted amount of spot advertising and, occasionally on Saturdays. some sporting material The N Z B.C.’s aim will be to run 3YD as a ‘‘music station” broadcasting programmes supplementary to those available front 3YA and 3ZB The new station will be the Christchurch counterpart of IYD (Auckland) and 2YD (Wellington).
