LONDON, May 12. P. J. Loader, the England fast bowler, did the first hat-trick of the English cricket season when Surrey dismissed Leicestershire for 166 at the Oval yesterday.
With the. Leicester score at 91, Loader had the opening batsman, H. Bird, caught at slip with the last ball of his fifteenth over. With the first two balls of his next over he had J. van Geloven caught at the wicket and bowled R. Pratt. Loader finished the innings with four for 36.
