Moore is only “half a winner” off 100 victories for the season after his winning double on Cheldarlin and Peacemaker at Randwick yesterday. It is more than 20 years since a rider has topped the century in Sydney. Moore’s double took prize money won by his mounts Ibis season over the £lOO.OOO mark. Before yesterday they had rung up £90,361. Chelderlin <7/2 on) won £640 in taking the Fillies' Juvenile Handicap by six lengths, and Peacemaker (5/1) captured the £lOOO Moorebank Handicap by five lengths. Moore was beaten on the well-backed Pardon Me, Nature’s Gentleman, Regal Peace and Eri Gamma between his two winners. A plunge on winner Galerus (7/1), a spinetingling finish, and an amazing run by the Brisbane Cup candidate. Kamikaze (25/1). highlighted yesterday's Warwick May Handicap. Galerus got the judge’s nod by a short half head from Gold Plate (3/1), also the medium of solid backing, with Kamikaze a length and a half away third. Galerus. backed from 20/1, got up in the last stride. Kamikaze tailed the field all the way to the home turn. He “sprouted wings” in the run home and his performance, under 9-2, was a great trial for the Brisbane Cup. Kamikaze, which won the cup test year, has 8-7 this year. DUNEDIN JOCKEY CLUB.
