Economic union between Australia and New Zealand was possible “within five years,” Sir John Ailuni, president of the Associated Chambers of Commerce in New Zealand, said yesterday. Sir John AMen passed through Sydney on hie way to London for the Commonwealth Chamber of Commerce conference. which starts on May 22. "It is quite natural that there will be an economic union between Australia and New Zealand.” he said. “I would say it would come about within the next five years ” After the five-day London conference Sir John Allen will go to Geneva to represent New Zealand employers at the International labour Organisation conference. Sir John Allen said the conference would deal with underdevloped countries.
