Additional (oach Licence

Three appeals against the granting of an additional coach licence to G. R. Davis trading as Cougar Coaches, were dismissed when they were h/ard before the Transport F Licensing Appeal Authority (Judge Archer) yesterday. The additional licence was granted by the No. 9 Transport Licensing Authority on December 18. The appellants were Midland Motorways Services Ltd. (Mr W F Brown), the New Zealand Railways Department (Mr P. P. Geddis). and the Mount Cook and Southern Lake Tourist Company, Ltd. (Mr M. C. Gresson) Mr R. A. Young represented Davis. Judge Archer said he considered Davis was operating a ijood service, and ft was in the public interest that he continue ft.
