Irish Napoleon was immediately shipped out to Goshen, New York, in a bid to save Yonkers from a damaging epidemic. Ab far m was known, he did not come close to Falsehood. Yonkers officials said there was little doubt that the virus that haß afflicted Falsehood was the same one.
The eight-year-old New Zealand gelding had been expected to be a big threat in the mile and a quarter event following his excellent fl st-up fourth In the International Pace a week ago.
The horse's cough got worse during the day. A Yonkers official said the virus should clear up quickly and there was an “excellent chance” that the New Zealand horse would be fit to run next Thursday.
