MIAMI. May 9

American evacuees from Haiti arriving in Miami today told of killings in the streets of Port-Au-Prince One boy told reporters he had seen a man ordered ou’ of a car and shot down bv Army officers while a pregnant woman looked on.

The Americans told of gunfire at 230 this morning in Port-au-Prince, of 700 prisoners held in the dungeons of President Duvalier’s palace, and of an American couple kept out if their home while police carried out a search. Most of the Americans said they were glad to leave Haiti.
