wrecked on the rocks at Point Danger during the cyclone on Tuesday. Only a change of wind saved the boat and its crew —including two New Zee-

landers—front disaster The yacht is the 47-foot ketch, The Monsoon.

Her skipper. Mr Herb Hope, aged 31 said it took three days and three nights fighting storms all the way to come the 113 miles from Iluka. Northern New South Wales, to Brisbane.

Hopes are fading for the safety of the yacht, Cythera, missing off the New South Wales coast. Two Neptune reconnaissance aircraft have spent two days searching.
