For Sentence On Three Charges
(N.Z Press Association) AUCKLAND, May 8. A constable was assaulted when he approached a group of men who were shouting derogatory remarks at a religious procession in Auckland on Good Friday, Sergeant L. R. Woodgate told Mi F. McCarthy, S.M., in the Magistrate’s Court at Auckland today James Malcolm Rogers, aged 23. a workman, who pleaded not guilty to assaulting a policeman, using obscene language and disorderly behaviour was convicted and remanded for sentence.
