Milk Board’s Concern Pren Auociatien) HAMILTON, May 7. Coliform organisms in small numbers have been discovered in the Hamilton city water supply mains adjacent to the Waikato Milk Company's treatment station. Reporting thio at the annual meeting of the Hamilton Milk Board yesterday, the health inspector (Mr D. G. Joll) told members that the city water works engineer was carrying out investigations to overcame the problem. \ He considered the problem was not a serious one, as the count was very low and would not cause any serious pollution of the water. Mr R. B. Whatley, manager of the Waikato Milk Company, said water from the mains was used for the final rinse of milk bottles at the milk treatment station, but the water did not contaminate the milk.
