April Increase The City Council last month issued. 365 buildin/ permite with a value of £380,050, compared with 315 valued at £289.570 in April of last year. With 79 permits. Linwood had the greatest number of the nine wards, as it did in the same month last year; but values were greater in three • other wards. The figures and values were:— Central, inner area. 15. £13,739; central, outer area. 19. £41.060; St. Albans. 68. £66,533; Sydenham. 27, £ 14,004; Linwood, 79. £52,711; Spreydon, 60. £55,244; Woofoton, 39. £47,260; New Brighton. 47. £62.852; Sum«»er, 11. £15,627.
